Hesham Taher

This research is based on a comparative method that brings together a number of interconnected elements: the great migrations of peoples, the synchronism of major historical events, the continuity of genealogies, and the geographical descriptions of cities and regions as preserved in the Torah and the Gospels. These elements are not studied here as separate pieces of evidence, but as parts of an integrated historical framework. When read together, they do not appear contradictory, but rather reveal a coherent pattern that helps reposition religious history within the wider context of general history.

Careful handling of evidence and proof is an essential part of this methodology. My professional background as a lawyer has influenced my approach to this work, because the essence of legal investigation lies in examining evidence, testing its consistency, comparing testimonies, and tracing the course of facts. For this reason, this research does not rely on abstract assumptions, but on the cumulative force of multiple lines of evidence studied together.

By applying scriptural descriptions to the Greek landscape, and by comparing patterns of migration, genealogy, and historical events across different traditions, this methodology seeks to identify the true setting of the prophets, the sacred cities, and the major religious events.
